Betfred Blackjack App Review: Card Payouts in 4 Hours
Every Betfred withdrawal method is listed within six hours and RNG blackjack starts at 10p. The live room is smaller: one studio, 34+ tables and a £2,000 ceiling.
Figures from Betfred terms and store listings, read on 26 Oct 2026.
Every payout method listed within six hours
Betfred lists debit card withdrawals at up to 4 hours and Instant Bank Transfer and Apple Pay at up to 6 hours. No withdrawal method on the list takes longer than that.
That is the clearest point in Betfred's favour for a blackjack player who wants a win back in the bank the same day. Of the ten operators in our comparison, only Betfred and bet365 list every withdrawal method in hours rather than days. bet365 goes slightly further, with a 4-hour ceiling across its list and Apple Pay shown as instant; Betfred's card payouts match bet365's 4 hours, and its two other methods sit at 6.
The other eight operators quote at least one method in days. Debit card payouts at Midnite, BetMGM, Ladbrokes, Coral, LeoVegas and Grosvenor run to between one and five days, so a player who only uses a debit card gets the biggest difference here. These are the times the operator publishes, not times we measured; we did not withdraw money. A first withdrawal can also wait on identity checks, which no listed time includes. Our withdrawals guide sets the times of all ten side by side.

The minimum withdrawal is £5 on every method and no upper limit is listed. Withdrawals carry no listed fee.
Three ways to pay, and no PayPal
The list is short: Visa and Mastercard debit, Instant Bank Transfer and Apple Pay. There is no PayPal, no Google Pay, no Skrill or Neteller and no Paysafecard.
Four rows in the payment table, three kinds of payment. If you keep your gambling money in PayPal or another e-wallet, Betfred has no route for it, and the fast payout times above only help if your bank card or bank account is the place you want the money. Android users should note that Apple Pay is the only wallet on the list, so on an Android phone the choice comes down to a card or a bank transfer.
Deposits start at £5 on all four rows, are listed as instant and can go up to £20,000 per transaction. For most blackjack players that ceiling is irrelevant; the £5 floor matters more, because a short session at a £0.10 table does not need a £10 or £20 top-up.

Live blackjack from one studio: 34+ Playtech tables
Betfred lists 34+ live blackjack tables out of 96+ live tables in total. Playtech is the only live provider named, and live blackjack runs from £1 to £2,000 a hand.
Betfred is the only operator of the ten that names a single live studio. Every live table you open will have the same Playtech bet panel and dealer room style, which is consistent but narrow. Operators such as BetMGM, Ladbrokes and Coral name six live providers each.
The live-blackjack maximum of £2,000 is the lowest live ceiling of the operators that publish one; Coral lists £5,000, Midnite, 10Bet and Grosvenor £10,000, and 247Bet £20,000. That will not matter at a £5 or £25 hand. It does matter for a high-stakes player, who will run out of room here sooner than elsewhere. The table count is also below our 50-table check: 34+ is the second-lowest count of the nine operators that publish one, ahead only of 247Bet's 20+. Our live blackjack guide compares the streamed lobbies of every app.

The operator names Blackjack Soirée Gold 2 as its high-limit live game. That is Betfred's own label; we have not seen the table and the data gives no separate seat limit for it.
RNG blackjack: 10+ games from £0.10
Betfred lists 10+ RNG blackjack games, staked from £0.10 to £1,000 a hand. The highest-RTP game it names is Blackjack Switch at 99.92%.
£0.10 is the lowest RNG blackjack minimum in our comparison, shared with Ladbrokes. It is the reason Betfred meets our stake check even though its live tables start at £1. For learning a strategy chart on a phone, a 10p hand is about as cheap as real-money blackjack gets.
The 99.92% figure for Blackjack Switch is the highest single-game blackjack RTP named by any of the ten; 247Bet's Multi-hand Classic Blackjack is one hundredth of a point behind at 99.91%. The catch is breadth. 10+ games is the second-smallest RNG blackjack lobby of the ten, ahead only of Grosvenor's 8+, so if you like to move between variants you will run through the list quickly.

An RTP figure assumes perfect strategy for that specific game, and a variant such as Blackjack Switch has its own rules and chart. Across the whole blackjack category Betfred lists an average RTP of 98.92%, so the other games sit well below Blackjack Switch.
Verdict: quick payouts, a narrow live lobby
Betfred suits a blackjack player who plays small RNG hands, pays by debit card and wants winnings back within hours. It suits a live player less: one studio, 34+ tables and a £2,000 ceiling.
Against our four checks, Betfred meets two: it has a hand from £0.50 or less (RNG from £0.10) and listed apps on both iPhone and Android. It does not reach 50 live blackjack tables, and blackjack does not count towards its welcome offer. It appears fifth in our list of all ten apps.
The rest of the picture is mixed. The apps rate well, the payout times are among the shortest anywhere in our data, and the RNG floor is as low as it goes. Against that, there is no PayPal, the live room belongs to one provider, and the RNG lobby is small.
The Betfred listing and why blackjack plays no part in the offer
New customers who enter promo code SPINS before depositing, pay by debit card and stake £10 or more on slots within 14 days receive 200 free spins at 10p on selected slots. The spins are wager-free and last 7 days.
Every condition points away from the blackjack table. The £10 qualifying stake must go on slots; blackjack counts 0% and the terms list card games, table games and live casino as excluded. The deposit has to be made by debit card under the offer text, so an Instant Bank Transfer or Apple Pay deposit risks missing it. Spins are credited within 48 hours.

The spins run on a named set of slots, including Fishin' Frenzy and Eye of Horus, at £0.10 a spin. No cap on spin winnings is listed. A blackjack player can take the offer only by playing £10 of slots first; judge the app on its tables and payouts instead.
The Betfred app on iPhone and Android
App Store rating 4.6, Google Play rating 4.3, both as listed on 26 October 2026. The iPhone app needs iOS 17.0 or later; the Android app needs 7.0 and up.
Betfred's app is a combined sports and casino app, so the blackjack tables sit inside a betting app rather than a dedicated casino one. On the App Store it is sold by Done Brothers (Cash Betting) Ltd, while the gambling licence is held by Petfre (Gibraltar) Limited; the licence holder is the company the Gambling Commission holds responsible for your account.
iOS 17.0 is a high requirement. Only Ladbrokes and Coral, at iOS 18.0, ask for a newer version among the ten. An iPhone that stopped updating at iOS 16 cannot install Betfred, though the browser site remains an option. Our iPhone blackjack apps page lists each minimum version, and the Android page does the same for Google Play.
Safer gambling tools
Daily, weekly and monthly deposit limits, a time-out of up to 6 weeks, a pop-up play-time alert, self-exclusion from 6 months to 5 years, and a self-assessment test.
The deposit limit is the tool that does most work for a blackjack player, and it is available on all three periods. The play-time alert is listed without intervals, so you cannot confirm in advance whether it fires every 30 minutes or every hour. Loss, stake and session limits are not listed. BeGambleAware, Gamblers Anonymous, GamCare and GAMSTOP are named as support bodies. Our safer gambling tools page compares the limits of all ten operators.
Licence: UKGC account 39544
Betfred in Great Britain is listed under UK Gambling Commission account 39544, held by Petfre (Gibraltar) Limited.
The operator data dates the licence to November 2014. Before you deposit, the register entry is worth one check: the company name and account number on the Commission's public register should match what the app shows in its footer. Our licence check guide shows how.
What the data does not confirm
The interval of the play-time alert, a cap on free spin winnings, and how many of the 10+ RNG blackjack games use standard rules rather than variants.
